My dentist put a filling in my tooth that hurt like an absess for a week afterward, he said he used a temporary filling and put a hard one on top of it to see if it would be OK. Then he doesnt belive me when I say there is a problem. Well I have had a very swollen gland right under the tooth since it was filled, it is so big I just can't believe that he can't feel anything when he feels in my mouth for it. He says It is just the tissues and saliva glands, saliva gland are not right up against my jawbone where this one is and it is starting to get harder and bigger.Could I be alergic to what he put in my tooth? and is it a common practice to permanently fill a tooth with a temporary in it first? Please reply, I only have access to this one dentist since I live in A very small town,Weaverville, in Trinity County.
